Don't ring and tell them you have got the movie channels. Ask what package you are on. If its the wrong package tell them and if it's the right package don't say anything and see if you keep the movie channels for a bit.

Nicked this old thread title :)

I need to make some savings, so I want to lose my entertainment packs, i have all of those. I also have Sky Sports packages. I don't have movies.

I phoned sky to remove my the entertainment packs as i dont watch them, but keeping the sports channels. She told me i have to keep one off the entertainment mixes, the first one being £18. So all im saving is £5.

Is this true i cannot have Sky Sports 1 & 2 on its own?

But its ok to drop all channels and pay £10 to keep the recording facility and/or have nothing at all and pay zero. oh well I probably go with the recording facility per month if they take this stance.

There was talk of Sky introducing a "no entertainment pack" subscription, where you could purchase just Sky Movies or Sky Sports on top of a base £15 per month subscription just before Christmas. Haven't heard anything more about it recently.

I think that the subscription terms are quite plain here

Sky Sports Pack - Live Football, Cricket, Rugby & More - Buy Online

    e.g.

    Sports Pack

Never miss a moment of your favourite sports with live and exclusive coverage in the Sports Pack:

    £18 extra a month

With any basic Sky TV package

    Likewise with movies e.g.

    Movies 1

There's something for all ages in Movies 1. Enjoy the best family movies, classic comedies and modern greats.

    £8 extra a month

In addition to your Entertainment Pack(s)
