It looks really slick, but odd that it's a separate new app, as opposed to an update to the current sky sports news app

I hate the 'Free' but requires a subscription to work idea.

Indeed, it also requires you to buy an iPad to use it too. Outrageous, rip off Britain huh.;):p

Seriously though, it wouldn't be beyond Sky to charge customers twice for the same content like the multi-room sub, HD subs (until recently) and past incarnations of mobile TV. So it rather depends on your POV if this is a good thing. Plus us subscribers like to feel we're getting extra value for our money with these supplementary services and not subsiding the entertainment of free-loaders. There's a lot to dislike about Sky and their monopolisation in British media but on the flip side their production values and innovation in their product portfolio is market-leading.

Really liking it at the moment. Thought I would give it a month trial. £4.99 a month is a lot to ask.

I agree with Shatnerstactic. These app's are to compliment a SKY subscription. I have Sky sports but rarely get to watch it on my TV as the wife watches that. With SKY go, I can now watch it on my iPad or iPhone.

I like the way you can flag favourite teams on the SKY Sports News app, saves you having to trawl through all the other articles.

    Thumbs up from me.

Do we need both apps, or will the latest one do it all?
