Sky Soundbox - worth getting if not a Sky subscriber?

I currently have a JVC 2.1 Soundbar with Subwoofer, but find the volume level too low on some channels even with the soundbar volume maxed (I've tried connecting via ARC and Optical) and also annoyingly the LED display keeps coming on as if the soundbar has just turned on or lost/regained it's signal if I use the PCM setting in the TV, but it doesn't if I use the Dolby Digital setting but the volume is lower, which is distracting, so I've been looking around for a reasonably priced replacement and have seen refurbished Sky Soundboxes for £105 delivered, and was wondering if they're worth getting if you're not a Sky Q subscriber - I had Sky+HD till last month when I cancelled it.

My current setup is:

Hisense U7A 50" 4K TV
Humax Aura Freeview Box (TV HDMI 1)
JVC 2.1 Soundbar (HDMI 2 ARC and have tried Optical as well)
Sony 4k DVD player (HDMI 1 on Soundbar)
Xbox One X (HDMI 2 on soundbar)
HDMI 3 and 4 on TV are unused.

I've just ordered one, mainly because it sits perfectly on the shelf under my TV whereas a soundbar wont't and they are £99.00 in supposedly immaculate condition.
To be fair reviews look good.
