Hello, I have a Pace Sky+ V1 box hooked up to my Marantz SR5400 via optical cable, my problem is that when watching anything on Sky+ whether it is in DD or not I get no output to my subwoofer while in DPL mode (DPL2), if I switch to CS11 then the sub kicks in, is this normal and if not am I missing something in the setup?

    Cheers

    Andy

EDIT: Also the display on the receiver indicates only the 2 front speakers and rear surround, doesnt show sub etc

The display indicates the channel information it is receiving therefore if you input stereo only the left and right fronts will show up on the display hwereas if you're playing a 6.1 dvd all your connected speakers will show up.

It looks like the signal is Dolby Stereo Surround where a center and rear channel are imbedded in the two stereo channels. This will be in older films.

Just in case you've overlooked it, if you are using PLII music mode, there is no LFE to the subwoofer, but there will be if you switch to PLII movie mode.
