Since changing my digibox from a Amstrad to Grundig the signal strengh rose from 50% to 100% :smoke: however the signal quality stayed at 50% and I would like to increase this if poss.
Is the quality linked to the cable run or the dish?

It might just be that the very insensitive meter in the Box is different on the two makes. A larger dish with better cable will give a better picture in most cases. The signal meter in the STB is very basic and not very accurate. For an acccuarte measure you need a sat meter that will meaure the dB signal strength.

Both... you are right in thinking it is quality that matters... on all boxes this is a good scale to go by. It is a representation of the amount of error correction a digibox needs to apply to output an image. So as a consequence, the better the "Quality" reading the better the picture. :)
