I have sky+ and it seems that everytime it rains I lose the signal - switching off and back on sometimes sorts it - other times have to wait for weather to improve.

Near neighbours don't have same problem - is this something I can fix myself easily or do I need am engineer?

    Thanks

PS - i'm not a techy so please keep it simple.

It sounds as if the dish is slightly out of alignment giving you a low signal. When it rains this further drgrades the signal to a point where there is not enough for the box to work. Without a signal test meter it can take some time to line it up properly.
