    Ok guys,

from what I can gather from searching these forums, if I purchase separately a SKY+ box ( Pace v2 for example ) I can simply plug it into my exisiting dish feed and after phoning SKY to marry my card away I go.

I have basic + sky sports.

I have one of the original of orginal installs ( one of the poor sods who actually paid for the SKY digital box in the first place ), so would my LNB be up to it. I would like the option to record, no interest in multi room.

Any confirmation or other suggestions appreciated.

    Regards
    Keith Hurst

    Keith,

You'll need a different LNB with at least 2 outputs. Quad's are the norm and should come with the system.

A DIY install is pretty straight forward if you can run the second cable required from the dish. Sky will authorise your card over the phone once you're up and running.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers Dork,

running the cable would be problematic... so will wait to see if SKY ever do offer a better deal for their loyal exisiting customers. Won't be holding my breath though.
