Sky+ Scart output.

Hello all,

I have just ordered Sky+ to upgrade my current normal sky box...urgh!

I have a home cinema setup and I was hoping somebody could shed some light on a small question I have.

I currently have a Pioneer VSX 916 home av amplifier that uses component video inputs, this in turn is connected to my LCD television via component. (when I say component, i mean the red-green-blue rca/phone connectors hope this is correct).

At the moment my sky box is connected to my DVDR via scart, which connects to my amp via component.

I would like to plug my new Sky+ box directly into my amp using component so I do not need to have my DVDR switched on to watch Sky (as I do now).

My question is, does the new Sky+ box output a component/R-G-B signal through scart so that I can use this cable (ebay item number 270162339074) or similar?

I have had lots of conflicting advice and I hope this works, the only other option I have is to buy a scart to component converter (£90 ouch!).

I hope this all makes sense, any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Ricky :)
