sky saying no satelite signal being recieved??

Here go's got ntl about 3 weeks ago before hand using sky on free to air channels. Got vivanco av box set everything up all ok except sky turn it on and it comes up with searching for listings for 1 min roughly and then says no satelite signal being recieved what could be the problem ie the card or the box which was ok 3 weeks back. hi meloned,
often happens for me, my daughter pulls the cable conencting dish to box. just unscrew the cable from the box, make sure that the connector on the cable is tightly mounted (push it back as much as it goes), and screw it back into the box. basically this is because of loose connection between the dish and skybox, will happen if the cable gets pulled or the box is shifted.

At a guess the cable guy diconnected the sky,They do this to your terrestial aerial as well,I have been to many peoples houses where this is the case,Probably so if you forget to pay your bill and they cut you off you are left with nothing.
However have you tried removing the sky mains plug for 30 seconds then switching back on

well would you beleive it the connectionwas not very good at the back of box just disconnected it pushed cable back connected and bob's your uncle everything ok many thanks to you all for your advice meloned
