Just upgraded my TV to a nice big plasma and routed everything through my receiver....but I have normal digital Sky and only have SCART sockets :(

I have been wrestling with the choices of either buying a RGB->Component converter or a Pace Sky+ box (has S-Video and Digital Audio) - both are roughly the same price...

Has anyone compared the S-Video picture quality to the RGB->Component one? Would there be any dicernable differences?

I am currently leaning towards the Sky+ box as it SEEMS I am getting more for the money but am still unsure.

Any input (no pun intended ;) ) would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks

Purists would argue that component signals would be better, but whether component derived from an RGB source would be better is arguable. Personally, I'd go for the Sky+ box - many more features. I have a Sky+ box connected to my Hitachi 42" plasma via s-video, and it looks fine.
