Sky + remote functionality

I am looking forward to my install a week on monday, but was wondering how much the sky + remote can control. I have a pw6 plasma and yamaha dsp amp which i would like to control via the one remote, is this possible?

I have a pwd6 plasma which the sky+ remote can turn on and off, i also have a pioneer vsx-d814 amp which the sky remote is able to control the volume on and mute but thats about it. I think what it can do all depends on the sky remote codes and how much functionality these provide the remote with?!
