Sky+ remote controlling tv problem

Why can't i get my sky+ remote 2 control my Sony tv ??? i have followed the instructions 2 programme the remote and it just doesn't work. Any ideas would be appreciated with thanks.

some of the instuctions sky supply are missing some vital points (ie the one in the back of the remote) 1 after the first two flashes press tv 2 after the second two flahes press select

so press tv hold down select and red till 2 flashes then press tv enter code, 2 flashes then press select.

if that doesnt work maybe you have the wrong code.

The default code for all Sony TV's is 0000. If you have anything other than a rev8 remote ( the ones with the blue buttons rather than green ) they are preprogrammed for Sony.
