Sky remote code

My parents have just have had sky plus installed and have a quite old tv. It is a Bush 2038TSIL 4:3 20" set. I have tried the generic 0157 code nd it does not work for me. I could not get any of the three digit codes to work at all with the sky plus remote. I have googled, but have found no help. Can anyone here help me make two older people sky and TV operation that little bit more simple.
