Sky+ recording without clock

Just had Sky+fitted...Pace version 2 box.

When I select programmes to "copy" to my DVD recorder when I select play on Sky+ the rotating clock displays for about 10 seconds in the bottom left hand corner of the screen and then goes off.

Is there any way I can stop this on my recordings. Any help would be appreciated.

If you adjust the recording settings on Sky+ so it starts recording a couple of minutes earlier than the programme starts then the rotating clock will be gone before you need to press record on your DVD recorder.

Not an ideal solution but thats all I can think of.

James....many thanks for that...I've set up to start 2 minutes before.

If a programme is late starting does Sky wait until it starts and adjusts the finishing time or do you lose the end of the programme?

Sky+ relies on the EPG information from the broadcaster so, if they don't update it, you can miss the end of the programme - this isn't Sky's fault as it's up to the broadcaster to change the info - ITV seem particularly bad at this.

If you go into the Services and then I think in Sky set up. You can choose the length on time the banner is on. I'm sure this also effects the clock symbol. I have mine set to 5 seconds. You can set it to 0 though.
