    Hi!

I am consistently getting the following annoying problem.

Sound (e.g. BBC Radio4 ) is fine when I listen to the Sky+ broadcast live, but playback of a recording of the same programme is peppered with short drop-outs, seemingly at random, but occurring identically each time I play the recording. This problems occur also with the BBC World Service, and BBC Radio 2. Bizarrely, this doesn't happen when I record TV programmes.

The Sky+ box is an Amstrad, Model No. A20AE07, Operating system 1.31 A0E, EPG version sky+ 1.30.q.

Could this possibly be symptomatic of a hard disk problem? The box is 10 months old.

Still under warranty - so have arranged for a Sky engineer to visit this weekend.

Any suggestions as to cause or fix?

    Problem solved.

Amstrad box conveniently popped its cloggs right in front of the Sky mechanic - new STB (Pace) is fine.
