I moved out of a house last year & took my Sky+ box & viewing card with me(not the dish or anything else). The house i moved to could not recieve a Sky signal but the house i am moving to now can.My question is would it be cheaper to get a new contract in my girlfriends name with the current offers & pay later for the Sky+ upgrade or just get my old Sky+ box installed from the start?

Considering as a new customer your girlfriend can get SKY+ for £99 installed I would still consider that instead of the "free" standard system which you would then need to pay to upgrade at a later date.

Get a new SKY+, sell the old one or hook it up to the new dish and use as a normal digibox or with a multiroom sub in the bedroom.
