    Hi

    I was wondering.
My SKY+ box occaisionally just shuts down and turns itself off.
The unit is then left in standbuy mode.
If I am recording something when this happens...is the recording terminated and buggered?
Or does it somehow carry on regardless.

    Cheers

SKY+ should not be shutting itself down and turning itself off however we are all aware that this does happen:(

Now an OS crash which puts the box into standby could well cause recording failure and the same could happen if it spontaneously reboots.
Expect the worse is the safest approach I suspect.

However I have experienced a power failure while recording and SKY+ restarted the recording as it was still active in the Planner, did lose the recording up until the failure as it was overwritten.
