Question Sky Q Installation questions

Active Member
Hi, I am looking at Sky Q but need to understand the installation process, in particular what effect the new LBN I see mentioned has on moving away from Sky and back to Freesat afterwards.

I live in Ireland so to get more and the 5 out 6 channels here we need Freesat or Sky. I’ve held off a good while by using NowTV but the inability to record is a bit of a problem.

If I do go down the Sky Q route I would like to know how the installation works and what changes if any they would do to my dish.

I currently have 4 Coaxial cables coming into the house, one from the terrestrial aerial and the other three from the satellite dish.

What do they change during the installation and how would that affect my TVs ability to get Freesat if/when I cancel again?

You need to ensure that they fit a hybrid LNB so you can also receive Freesat.
