I had Sky+ installed on Saturday, this was after seeing the thread about £49 Sky refurb. deal. Prior to the installation my 'normal' sky box worked fine.

When the Sky man left my house everything seemed ok, but i didn't use it until several hours later. To my dismay, i actual can't watch sky at the moment 'cause the picture keeps freezing and/or pixelating and making high pitch screeches! I've contacted Sky & i've arranged an engineer to call.

I'm just wondering if any one has any ideas as to why this is happening ??
For the last five years i've had trouble free viewing, until this 'upgrade'

    Cheers

Did you have ordinary Sky before ? I suspect that the installer fitted a new 4-output LNB to the dish, and the extra weight of the LNB has pulled the dish off alignment. A pretty basic mistake to make, and I'm surprised if a professional installer made it.

Nick_uk: Yes, i had ordinary sky before (5 years) with no problems. I guess the guys who turned were professional, Sky sent them ! Thanks for the prompt response.

The Sky installation engineers turned up over the weekend & checked to signal strenght (or lack of it) and confirmed the dish needed to be moved. They blamed the trees... anyway, they relocated the dish on our rear chimney stack and hey presto ! its working fine.
