    Hi Guys :hiya:
Anyone use Sky+ with a DVD recorder , preferably the Toshiba rdxs10 and have any problems recording from box to recorder?
Trying to convince myself £250 for upgradeing my current Sky box to + is worth it. I know the 5.1 sound will be an improvement but with the storage on my Tosh HDD i'm not sure i'll gain any other benefits.

    Cheers

    Sure it's only £199 + £1 install - a lot cheaper than £250;)

I also use a Philips recorder (DVDR70) it works great as I'm sure would all the '-' recorders.

Exisiting subscribers get the £1 install if they order SKY+ via the SKY website, if the ordering process fails then ring the number given and you'll get the web price via the phone call. I've also bee told that the existing box is relocated free of charge if you are not taking out the mirror sub.

Sky+ 's main advantages over any dvd recorder, are the simultaneous record and watch from 2 different channels, and storage of 20 hours at broadcast quality.Only a DVDR/HDD can compare. Is the Tosh you are using one of the new ones with RGB in?

No it's only RGB out unfortunatly. The 2 Sky channels at once could be useful i suppose although repeats are the name of the game on Sky these days.
Thanks Starburst for the on line ordering info , Sky never mentioned that on the phone for some reason ;)
    Thanks for the advice guys.
