Hi there,
I am a novice to all things AV,but am moving to my first new house. I previously had cable, but am now going to go for Sky.My question is seeing that i am investing in a Panny 42 PV500 and i want to get the best possible PQ. Is there any advantage in getting SKY+,PQ wise.

In short do you get a better picture from SKY+ over the normal SKY package.

What is the best type of cable connection from SKY+ or the normal SKY box to the plasma??

Cheers, Liam Ireland

There is no improvement over picture quality when you get Sky+. Your best output of all the Sky STBs is through RGB Scart. You just have to ensure you get a good Scart cable to ensure the best quality to your screen.

Thanks for that speedy reply,
What about component connection?? reading other posts and threads,i got the impression this was the best option? Or would a component connection be better from the DVD player to the plasma?

problem sorted,thanks
