Sky Plus 2 cables from dish question?

HI,

random question I know but when I look at freesat boxes they have one in cable but my Sky dish has two cables which are connected to the Sky Plus box. I understand this is so you can watch a channel while recording another.

is it that I just need to use one cable only and I can record and watch different channels at the same time on a freesat box? How does that work and why do Sky use two cabels if not needed?

is the Freesat UHD-4X 500GB decent enough now ?

regards,

Pretty sure you need two feeds for PVR functions. The one you mention has two inputs.

The two inputs are very clear, and very usual.:)
