Sky pin required

I've just tried to view TCM (Lethal Weapon 2) and been asked to enter a pin number. Thinking it a fault I've rang them.

Automatic answering:-

"Thank you for your call. Your call will be answered in less than <pause> 32 minutes!"

I now have a fat ear but was eventually told that there has been a software update and certificated channels now require a pin number to be entered once the age limit goes past the watershed time.

Now I've been a customer for over 5 years and have never used my pin number. I've changed it to 1111 so that I can remember it (I'm 51 years old for Christ's sake!)

No doubt my 16 year old son will now be able to access sky box office and adult channels but what the hell.

As you can probably tell I'm a bit miffed. Just going to put some ice on my ear.

apparently it's meant to be a good thing as we can't think for ourselves! ;-)

They say it's because of sky+ and the ability to record a program after the watershed but view it before the watershed.

I've had a video for years and never had this problem with BBC or ITV.

All this has made me miss the beginning of Lethal Weapon 2 but knowing Sky, there's a chance it may be on again soon

I'm seven years older than you, and I can remember the 9 digit number of a premium bond that I purchased in 1964
