I find Sky+ to be inferior to my original Panasonic TSDBU30 box.

However, I find that my signal quality is down to 75% over the two LNB's.

Briefly, I find there to be digital smearing, some instability in the picture and a lack of colour all in RGB mode.

    Am I alone in this?

No problems here at all, the picture quality is the best I've ever had from Sky.

No instability, no smearing and colors look great in RGB mode.

Signal quality about the same as yours

Interesting. Could be a dodgy box I suppose. It certainly isn't up to the quality of my Panasonic box.

The installer (private) is coming to have a look so we'll see.

One example, I was watching Hollow Man last night on Premier Widescreen.

The animal cage bars all showed a shimmering/unstable effect.

Also the Sky news active, BBC text menus definitely show flicker where they didn't before.

    CLH,
I have Skyplus+, Sony 760 and a Panasonic 30, I don't see any of the problems you mention, whether "live" or recorded.
If you are using Skyplus+ RGB I think your box is at fault, assuming you are using the same scart lead that gives good results with your Panasonic.
By the way my signal strength and signal quality are slightly less than 80%.
My Skyplus+ is every bit as good as my other boxes.
