Somehow, from somewhere, I've acquired an item in my Sky Personal Planner list which I didn't put there. This wouldn't matter, of course, if I could do the normal thing and press the yellow button to delete it - but I can't. Pressing yellow has no effect whatsoever (though it works perfectly on items I add to the list myself.)

The entry is Points of View - 10/02 - 8.48pm.

Any ideas on how I can get rid of it?

    Rogue Entry in Personal Planner

Take the card out, turn it upside down. Put box in standby. Remove mains power. Leave for 3 minutes, re-apply mains. Leave for 2 minutes, take out of standby.

Go into planner and delete entry.

Now take card out again and turn the right way up, re-insert it.

I hope this is not a wind up by sapo. One apeared on my planner and despite several attempts I couldn't shift it. (I didnt try inverting the card). What worried me was if some adult themed program were to appear and caused domestic disharmony!

Frankly, it's hard to see what inserting the viewing card upside-down would achieve which removing it altogether wouldn't.

Surely there isn't an alternative set of contacts in the card-slot designed to read the card only when it's inverted?

    Edited to add:

Well, it might be illogical, but it works! (But why, for goodness sake?) The only slight difference from Sapo's instructions was that I didn't have to manually delete the entry: when I brought the box out of standby, it was already gone. Thanks, Sapo.

There is a switch at the back of the card reader. Putting it in upside down makes the switch. Not being able to read the chip on the card is part of it.

    Why?..... who knows? I don't.

nearly every recording prob I have had has been on a bbc channel. Infact I think every one
