Sky+ Pace 3000 - Daily reboot required

Everytime I get up in the morning, when I attempt to select a subscription channel, ie. Channel 4/5, Sky Sports News, I get the message:

There is a problem with your viewing card
Ensure your Sky viewing card
is correctly inserted
Call the broadcaster for assistance

I need a full power cycle to get this working again.

It has done this for the last four days, but before I get onto Sky (and lose the will to live) has anyone seen this happen before?

Try a force download first.

Try your card in another digibox if the same thing happens then it is a card fault and needs to be replaced.

Try cleaning the card and the card slot with switch cleaner (turn off digibox from mains first), it could just be dirsty contacts. place a strip of insultaion tape on the card's side edges as it may just need forcing onto the pins a bit more.

If all the above fails then the card reader in the box is faulty.
