    Hi all,

Has anyone come across converting a Scart signal over an RF cable much like the Sky box does (RF Modulation) but over a Digital channel rather than the usual analogue.

I ask as I'm looking to send the Sky channel to HDTVs with built in freeview and analogue RF is pants. At some point i'll run HDMI to each TV but need a quick fix.

Can someone tell me why Sky didn't add a freeview modulator into the HD box for distributing a digital signal to freeview tuners? Cost or may be we won't buy multiroom subs?

    Thanks.

They don't use a freeview modulator for the same reason they have never used a NICAM modulator - they ain't cheap!!!

You don't understand how digital signals are multiplexed. A bit of research will show you why it's not feasible.
