I have a problem with my optical link from the SKY+ box. Periodically the sound swithes off completely for a few seconds.

It is not my Pioneer Tuner and when I rewind on live pause the sound is there ok and plays back fine.

It is really annoying - anyone else suffer this?

PS: What is the RS 232 socket on the rear for? Surely it is not there just for the gnome????

Tks guys!

Tks guys!

It has no other known customer purpose but whether repair technicians use it I don't know ( Rather like the interface on the back of early boxes and the USB port(s) on the latest PVR3s )
