I've just rearranged my rack after adding a P7, using my AVR300 as pre-amp processor only. Since the P7 takes up so much space, I really need to place my Sky+ box on top of the AVR300. Even though I'm not using the power amps in the AVR300 it still runs quite warm and Sky+ box has always run warm with fan frequently coming on.

My gut instinct is that putting the Sky+ on top of the AVR300 may not be a good idea but have nowhere else to put it so was wondering if any of you AVR300 owners have put a Sky+ on top and if so were there any overheating problems?

    Any thoughts very welcome, thanks.

I personally wouldn't do it myself. The AVR300 has a fan for thermal reasons, but don't know about the Sky box.

Not sure, but i think for Sky+ you can buy one of those remote sensor thingies(?) on a lead, that you plug in the back of the sky box, meaning you can tuck the sky box out of sight, with just the remote sensor showing...
Im sure ive seen pictures of these things somewhere...

Sorry i seem vague, but ive just woken up!! :)
