Sky on my PC

Whats the cheapest way to get sky onto my PC?

I already have sky plus.

I dont want to have to trail a wire upstairs.

I have seen wireless video senders for £69.99 from argos with IR Extender for sky use.

Any other options?

You can get PCI Sky tunners, but doesn't solve wires issue(& needs a 2nd subscription) Presumably a TV card, with a link would do it. I can't think of a non wired alternative to a wireless sender of some sort or another.

Would if I could, I've seen them somewhere either online Dabs or Maplins or some Pc bits vendor, maybe even Ebay, or an ad in a Pc mag. Sorry, saw it but it wasn't any interest to me!

SAT tv cards have been available for many years now, but big problem is............................no slot for a card.

You'd receive very few channels with it.

I've used a Didisender from my Sky downstairs to a TV upstairs...the results are surprisingly OK. You have to move the receiver around to get the best reception. The one I have has scart plugs so will only feed into TV / video. I think you can get a scart / av adapter. Other than that, the only way I can see is to buy a TV Card for your PC and run a cable from Sky into that.
