hey, how y'all doing? ive been trying to find a way to network my sky+ box to my pc. i basicly want to be able to rip recorded movies from my sky+ hard drive to my pc without loosing any quality or relevant surround sound. i know i can run a s-video cable straight into my pc, but i will loose the surround sound. the only other way i can think of doing it is through the rs232 port on the back of my sky+ box.
anyone know if this is possable???????????

No, it isn't. Even if you could access the raw data, it would not be of any use, because it is stored on the HDD in encypted format, and can only be decoded by the Sky box.

use the s-video for the picture and if your pc has a optical input on the sound card use that for the sound
