    Just a quicky
    i have sky+ is there any way of putting my old sky box in another room and get the free channels. i take it i must get a quad LNB. as they dont do 3 way.
    does it work like that.

    Yes, subscribe to multi-room. £10 a month extra, and you get another card with all the channels enabled from your first subscription. You'll need a 4 output LNB which will set you back about £25, and some cable of course.

    I you only want the "free" channels then you don't need multiroom just a "freesat" smartcard which is a one off cost of £20 from SKY. This allows you to view the FTV channels and of course all the FTA channels, without it you will only be able to watch the FTA channels.

    i take i can use this card on my old digi sky box but will have to get quad Lnb as i have sky+ on main TVl.

    Yep you will as Nick_UK says require a Quad LNB to provide another independent feed to the second digibox.

    if you already have sky plus, you should nt need to buy a quad lnb , as one should have already been fitted when you had the sky plus done, so you could just take a ct100 type cable from the lnb to your choosen room, and fit your old box..

    SKY for a while used Twin LNB's for SKY+ only installs, that was discontinued and only Quads used now, better reliabilty/compatability and future proofing.
