Sky multiroom - phone line hell!

    How can multiple sky boxes be installed when only the main box can practically be connected to the phone line?
    I.E. how to avoid/bend Sky's demand that all boxes be connected to a phone line . :devil:

    You need telephone extension lines installed - at your expense I believe.

    The sky installation will come with a splitter/double adaptor,much like seen here :-

    The picture on the left shows a quad adaptor.

    You can have as many extensions as you like so long as the REN (Ring Equivalence Number) of 4 is not exceeded. Fitting telephone extensions is not hard, when i worked at Sky there was no cable length limit on the telephone cable installed,i think this has now changed so it is the customers responsibility to make sure a telephone socket is nearby the TV........
