    need some help

just got a new house & there is all ready a dish on the house for Sky but we want to run 2 seperate box's

now i need to know how sky multi room is set up. is it just a case of splitting the the signal from the dish into the two box's or is it a bit more complicated than that

when we rewired the place we have put in digital standared coaxal cable for getting the signal from the dish to the living room & 1 of the bedrooms where the 2nd box is going & both of these terminate in the loft where the cable from the dish comes in

Any help would be really appriciated

It is possible to run two digiboxes by simply spiltting a single LNB feed but it is not a practical solution due to the way the digibox tuner needs to control the LNB when selecting the channel required.

The cheapest option is to replace the single output LNB with a dual or quad LNB, these have multipule independent outputs each of which can be connected to a digibox and give the full channel selection without interferring with eachother.
