Hi Guys newbie here but hope you can help. I have a technomate TM2d reciever that I use to get my satalite channels. It has an RF out and want to use the magic eye. I know it wont work at the mo because I have no 9v on it so it is only good for running a second feed.
I have seen some posts where you can get a 9v inserter and put it at the second tv end and "insert" the 9v there. Will this work for the remote control or is there something else on the skybox that would be missing from the technomate? I did hear something about there is a signal line that the magic eye requires that the technomate wont have. Any help appreciated.

Oh and can I use my existing internal tv aerial wiring? for instance in my lounge I have a TV port on the wall and in my bedroom I have one so can I just feed from RF out into the aerial socket and the from the bedroom socket go via the magic eye to tv?

    Cheers guys

It is not a signal line, it is all the circuitry to decode and act upon the Sky propriety signal entering the Sky box RF2 output.

    Look at IR extenders instead.

Hi - welcome to the forum - and an IR extender IS what you need for the remote control.
If you can trace the other ends of the cables to the wallplates you could join them and use them to send the channel, but "magic eyes" don't come into it at all.

One rather more decisive than the other.
