Sky installation question

A quick question, When sky do a standard install do they use a dual LNB? Incase you may decide to use a second box.
As I plan to use a second box but not from there package, I would buy one off ebay for a lot less.
Would I need to run a second cable from the dish? or can it be split from the cable already setup?
I understand that I would only recieve the free channels on less I pay for the extra card.
Thanks

when sky do standard installs they only install a single output lnb,
If youre interested in more than 1 box then you will have to install either a dual (poor reliability) or quad,

Why not offer your installer a drink when he turns up for a quad, he'll probably put 1 up for you if hes got 1 in the van.

ps you cant split the cable
