Sky+ in two rooms

    my friend has sky+ down stairs and second subscription upstairs,both connected to the phone line.if he swops the upstairs box for a second sky+ do sky ask for more cash or is it the same price?also is it cheaper to buy from sky?

    Since the new SKY will be using the multiroom card he will not need to pay an extra £10 for the SKY+ service, just as the channel package is mirrored so is the extra sub.
    Of course I am assuming the first SKY+ is fully functional:)

    Without a special deal from SKY it will be cheaper to pick up a SKY+ from another source (ebay, online dealer) although you never know exactly what SKY will offer you on a day to day basis if for example you tell them your digibox is broken he might be offered a £49 refurb. Don't forget to tell him he needs a fourth LNB feed so make allowances for the small cost or big cost if you pay a dealer/installer to do it:)
