Just moved into a new house with a tv connection in the main bedroom.
Got sky downstairs via the normal sat dish,
is there a way of piping it upstairs even just to watch the same channel?
I bought tvlink pack which has a remote and connectors,
but says you need a co-axial cable.
    any ideas
    thanks

You need double-shielded coaxial cable. Cheapest option. Places like satcure sell it by the metre.

Alternatively, you could buy a wireless videosender but be sure to get one that supports the remote control operation.

To avoid all the cabling, buy a sender. This retransmits the signal upstairs to a received. Cost about £70-90. Make sure you buy ine with remote control capability. DOWNSIDE ? Well, signal can be disrupted by people in the way, and you need scart availably at both end for best connection, although many have an RF convertor at the receiver

I got a Phillips VL1200 video sender - magic pirece of kit, sends sky to tv upstairs and no cables required - the remothe control even works on tv upstairs.

God knows how it works, but it does. Ypou just need a scart connection on your tv upstairs thats all.

Got it for £60 off ebay
