Sky in other rooms

I recently replaced my distribution amplifier, however the picture quality for the Sky signal has significantly reduced. The normal channels are of normal quality, however Sky has lines throughout the picture.

The problem was not present before, with my old amplifier, and same co-ax cable. What is likely to be the problem?

The new amp has less (or possibly more) gain than your old.

Thanks for the help. I am sure it will have more, as my old one was very old. How do I fix this problem?

It may be signal overload...You could try an in-line coaxial attenuator available in different strengths...in 3db steps...try a 3 or 6db.
These are available from the likes of Maplins.
