Just upgraded from a Sony digibox to the Pace Sky +.

Everything ok to start with but as time goes by the I/R receiver seems to be missing some of the signals sent, eventually not taking any signals at all, only able to operate through the front buttons. Now on second box and this one is going the same way.

Has anybody had this problem and know what the probable cause is.

    thanks

This isn't a joke, I keep this bit of paper next to my Sky+ Digibox for when it stops responding to the remote. So long as the LED on your digibox flashes whenever you hit a remote key, give it a go:

    (on your remote)

    1 Press TV
2 Press Select & Blue together (remote LED flashes twice)
    3 Press Select
    4 Press Sky
    or
    3 Press 1
    4 Press Select
    5 Press Sky

I've used this quite a few times in the past, as recently as last week, good luck with it!

    May have solved my problem.

In my system the digibox is in a remote site ( under the stairs ), and use a powermid i/r extender. It appears that the plasma screen emissions were corrupting the i/r transmission from the remote.

    thanks
