    Hi
Hoping for some help on sound output for Sky HD.

I've used the HDMI out from the Sky box to send pictures/sound to my TV upstairs, via Ethernet/Baluns.

For the tv downstairs (Pio 435XDE), I've used the component out from the Sky HD box. Picture works fine downstairs, but no sound (I've tried optical and red/white phono leads), but still no luck.

Has anyone any thoughts on how to get sound to my screen downstairs? I vaguely remember something about needing to plug the phono leads into a Scart connector, and then plug this into the Pio's media box. Could be a red herring though!

    Thanks for any help

It's not a red herring - the Red and White audio connections next to the component in on the Pioneer media box are actually outputs and you need to get the audio in from the scart - as you say, a scart to phono leads is what you need.

    Cheers,

    Martin.

Cheers Martin, I'll give it a try.
Need to buy a new Scart-Phono connector of course, as I recently threw away 3 of them thinking I'll never need them again
