As a registrant of the Sky HD just received en email saying I am entered into a draw to win 1 of 10 pairs of tickets to see Robbie Williams' live Berlin concert on 9 October and meet with Sky HD people at the hi-def screening

All Sky HD people who registered have been entered. So at least I know I'm on the list!

I'd watch the Muppets if it was in hi-def - just want to see how good it is!

Euro1080 are behind the concert by the way - one of Sky's future partners.

I'd rather be 1 in 10 winners to get free Sky HD.

It says that thousands will get to see this event, being 'cinecast' across Europe. So how do 'normal' people buy tickets if they are curious?

All I would be interested in was getting a look at the rear of the box to see what connections it has (if it was a sky HD box). Obviously with a sneaky digi camera to record the moment

I would be surprised if this concert was being broadcast using mpeg4, for such an event with established partners who have probably covered PPV from the event channel already the use of the existing mpeg2 system makes far more sense.

    It sounds reasonable:)

EURO1080 have and are continuing to do carriage deals across the EU.
BSKYB have been listed on the EURO1080 website as a partner.
HD1/2 (and probably future channels) will be broadcast from 28.2 in mpeg4 sooner rather than later.
SKY will probably be the main HD player for the UK and have a ready made PAY option for broadcasters looking to bundle with SKY or offer a standalone product.

Pretty much a no brainer to offer their channels via SKY HD:)

Yes would like to see what the pictures look like on a really big screen - I've seen HD at trade fairs on projectors and it does look nice - but not Odeon sized screens.

The winners will be notified today - nowt yet in my email box....

Someone probably has tickets sitting there saying "booger this - who wants to see RW" and another person sitting there wishing they had won. Pity Sky HD site didn't have an on-site instant win thing so those that are RW fans could have entered.

I'm not a RW fan but would have gone to have a look at the quality of the pic and see what SKY HD had to day...
