Hi, i have just set up my new tosh 37z3030db, no problems there but i have sky hd, I have had a shift around and cut the satellite cables to make them shorter and put new ends on them but now i can't recieve a satelite signal. As far as can see there are not any problems with the cables.
Would i have damaged the skyhd box or maybe the lnb on the dish has any body got any ideas.

You will have...if you didn't unplug the Sky box first before cutting?
If you did unplug it first you've probably just incorrectly fitted the cable ends in the F-Plug, make sure there are no whiskers of the outer braid touching the centre core of the cable.

Thanks fella's, i have checked wiring freys are not touching the centre core, re-booted every time i have checked something the blue screen says NO SATELITE SIGNAL IS BEING RECIEVED.
Stupid question though does the phone line have to be plugged in, would this make a difference.

No, it doesn't and it wouldn't.
You didn't answer my question :lesson: ...did you unplug the box before cutting the cables?
    Be truthful.
