Sky HD Playback Not As Good As Sky +

I may be being fussy here but I don't think the HD box is as good on playback as the old Pace box, forward skip and back is less responsive and more jerky, strange a newer receiver takes a backward step like this, your thoughts please.

A lot of work has been done to the Sky+ software over the years, with many upgrades, means things are pretty well sorted. Sky HD is much more demanding, with c. X4 the bitrate, and they have had a much shorter time to develop it. So no surprise it is less smooth.

Much more important though, it works very well, even if it still has some minor glitches, which can all be cured by a full reboot, ie power off, power on. Not so hard, even for a non techie.

So less moaning please. You'll make people think its rubbish, when actually its brilliant.

Yeh...
On a serious note though...hopefully with time, these niggles will be removed.
IMO Sky HD is a big step in right direction especially with HD anytime feature included.

I’ll no doubt get use to it, I just found it quite strange after my Sky + hopefully it is a software issue rather then actual hardware, but I'm over the moon with the picture quality and the DD sound as well. thanks
