    go to http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?c=104016&p=irol-irhome

then go to latest news section and choose webcast presentaion 2.15pm

on there james murdoch among other give a seech about sky and if you listen at about 38 mins and 33 sec they talk about sky hd and that there will be extra subscription and also that it will not be too much to ask people to buy a new reasonable priced box! and that it will not be heavily subsidised at launch!!

Forgot to say there may be some discount if you move your existing box and take out multiroom! nice

I like the way that at the end when he says "Ok does anyone have any questions?"

    No-one says anything.

I've just listened to the full feed - a few references to the HD offering in James Murdoch's speach - but quite a bit more in Q&A. Nothing really new. Main points:
    • No significant subsidy to boxes
    • Extra HD "package" charged simliarly to the various current packages (e.g entertainment, news & documentaries etc)
    • HD will be marketed in Spring - but also months before wide access - note use of months plural
    • Key point - Box has capacity for connectivity with their broadband product via Easynet - refers to Ethernet and USB - for home network add on
    • Further boxes for broadband HD being added for 2007 launch
They are very upbeat about growth and take up from Freeview & BBC/ITV & Cable - refered to 2012 switch off not necessarily allowing for terrestrial HD, emhasised major rapidly moving market place & need for flexibility.
