SKY HD Channel skipping

Hi,

I had sky HD fitted yesterday and all was working fine till this morning.

When using the +/- channel button the channel goes up by two so 401 jumps to 403 etc. Its also the same when using the arrow buttons within the menu. Also when you input the channel using the numbers pressing 4 gives 44 etc etc.

I've phoned the engineer and he cant get back to me until Tuesday, its going to do my head in so wondered if there was anyway to resolve this

He asked if there was any electrical field that could be a problem, I said no.

Any advice or help welcomed

The remote is infra red, electric fields are irrelevant.
It's propbably just a sticky key on the remote. Make sure he brings a spare.

The channels turnover fine using the box, just sh**ty remote by the sounds of it

There is a way of resetting the remote maybe that would sort it.
I can't remember how to do it but sky told me over the phone once before.

Hi I tried resetting the remote but nothing.

I also tried my sky+ control from upstairs and it still jumps. Maybe not the remote after all?
