It was a replacement for a 1TB box that died so I think the warranty was only 30 or 60 days. Happy to have it back if it fails you in the first month.
Just to clarify for any other viewers/mods, we're pming about logistics of physically meeting. Any price discussions will take place here.
Thanks for the location clarification, what's the best price, I will need to drive to you to pick it up.
How about I spare you the bother of you offering £45 so I can meet you in the middle at £50 and we just agree at £50?
Thanks for the message and comms, a one hour drive for £5 less on a box with no warranty is not going to work for me. £40 is my best offer and it's a fair price, eBay is going for between £40-60 used & delivered for that model. As mentioned happy to drive and pick it up tomorrow
I've checked out eBay. Auctions you may have more luck but of the buy it now ones there is one at £50 but it looks pretty tatty and the nearest one after that is more like £54. £80 if you want a warranty. I'm going to hold out for £50. Let me know if you change your mind.
BTW, just looked through my old text messages and I believe that the engineer visit to install the box was in January 2015.
Sure, let's do it. I can't seem to locate the original box but I have another it will fit in. Moving to PM
Box received, paired, updated and all happy Will leave feedback when I'm next on a PC - thanks for a really easy trade
Hi, sorry to be awkward but I'm having a lots of issues with the box crashing and not recording due to having crashed -- it has happened at least four times since I've had it (and has missed casualty tonight so I'm in the doghouse!) I've done a software update and rebuilt planner, any other ideas / did you have any issues with the box because to be honest in its current state it really is no better than my old box. Sorry again for needing to come back to you over this More info: It would seem the box is going into diskless mode which would seem to indicate a failed hard drive any advice/suggestions appreciated
Sorry to hear that. I hadn't had any issues like that before but I hadn't used it since May. Wouldn't know where to start to fix it so probably best just to send it back to me and I'll give you a refund.
I've given it the morning switched off and it is still showing now as diskless mode, a real shame as it was a really fast running box with the EPG and everything! I'll take you up sadly on the refund but you're a credit to the forums with that attitude when this issue has surfaced, many thanks.
No worries, I know I'd be pretty disappointed if I bought a Sky box only for it to last a week. I wonder if the update killed it, that did it for one of my old white + boxes years ago. PM me your bank details and I'll refund you.
PM incoming, if you just refund me the money paid I'm happy to cover return postage as this is obviously just as much of a disappointment to you as it is me. Cheers
