This forum seems to contain a lot of negative points concerning the sky+ box. I must be very lucky or very easily pleased!. I installed the box myself after reading threads on this site, although ive no previous experience of instalations. This was quite easy. i phoned sky and they were v. helpful, no difficult questions, quite staightforward, they switched it all on. Wonderful! It all worked perfectly. Since that day in early November, the box has had no problems at all. now the price : £44 per month, just over a tenner a week. In my eyes a real bargain. Compares to one family visit to the cinema. With my 36" Phillips widescreen TV & fantastic sound coming from my Denon 3801 in lovely 5.1 Dolby Digital (which has never broke up in any way) I am extremely happy viewing at home.
I'm sorry but this has to be the bargain of the decade!!! :)

Okay mediamogal, it's a fair cop. Most of us probably love it too but it just looks like £10 a month to use something we have spent £300 on.

I don't think the £10 a month is a problem, it is the ever increasing amount of money to Sky. It's the fact that it is ANOTHER £10 a month.

But it is wonderful otherwise. Makes my life so much easier.

It IS good but.....where's the 5.1 gone from Sky Premier widescreen??
Man on the moon was in 5.1 last night with the dialogue coming from all 5.1 channels and was a right mess. Sonds like someone's got a dodgy Dolby bitstream encoder.;)
However, 5.1 working fine on Box Office.

COME ON SKY - SORT IT OUT!!!
