Sky Go Issue

    Got a macbook, an iPhone, an iPad and a Xbox 360. Originally I had the iPad and macbook as my 2 sky go devices but it didnt work very well on the macbook so changed it to my iPad and iPhone. Decided to swap the iPhone for the Xbox 360 so deleted it from my devices in the device management page on the skygo site but still couldnt sign the xbox up. I also tried removing the iPad so I had no devices registered and now I cant access Sky Go at all on any device.

    Any ideas?

    You do know you are only allowed one change per calendar month?

    You can add additional accounts / email addresses for Sky Go within the MySky / Sky Go site. You can have up to 9 Sky Go accounts set on 1 Sky account and each Sky Go account can be registered to 2 devices. We have 2 iPads and 2 iPhones in the house. My 2 devices use my email address for Sky Go and the wife's 2 devices log in with her email address.

    Set up an additional account / email address and you can have all of your devices registered. You may need to wait until next month though as has been pointed out already.

    Lol, one Sony is enough for us to watch TV on, only use Sky Go when outside the house!

    This DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE.

    Also, as has beens aid, it's one change per calendar month. Did you not read the warning when you went to remove your devices that said 'if you remove this device you will not be able to add another device this month' or something similar?

    If you call Sky they may take pity on your lack of reading skills and allow you to register a device this month and then you can register another on the 1st of September.

    I've just signed into MySky and it advises that you can still have up to 9 accounts, not sure what you mean by 'this doesn't work anymore'?

    I think you will find, (I know you will), that they are not "accounts" but "additional users" (to the main account.)

    What it means is that Sky Go no longer allows you to use these accounts to gain extra device uses. This was the case until they closed the loophole several months ago now.

    Ok, so they are additional users, not additional accounts. Apologies for my mis-use of terminology.

    I'm lost here. I have setup the wife as an additional user and she has sky go access on her 2 iOS devices, signing into each device with her 'additional user' username and password. I sign into sky go on my 2 devices with a separate username and password. So we have 4 devices accessing sky go, with 2 separate user accounts in action. This is what the OP is trying to achieve here I feel, have more than 2 devices access sky go; this is possible and its my setup. This is what I was trying to explain to the OP, create an additional user in MySky and use this to log into the 3rd and 4th device.

    Really? And you are certain this is still working?! If so you have somehow managed to by-pass Sky's new checks!

    I have just checked again and all of my (shall we call them "secondary" accounts?) still come up with the main account's devices. We did have a few months where devices could be registered independently.

    Mind you, I am talking PCs and Androids here. I'm wondering if Apple devices are maybe getting more love here still?

    As far as I am aware you are correct in saying the ability to do this was removed even with Apple devices.

    If somehow this is still being achieved it would be interesting to see if other people still have this ability and if so to compare what devices they have it on and what package they subscribe to, would allow us to see if there was any kind of pattern or similarities.

    I get home from work and ask her if the sky go app on her iPad is still working, she replies "ah, no, it stopped working a while ago, I forgot to tell you"
    Aaarrrrrggghhhhh!
    My humble, humble apologies, looks like its 2 devices per sky tv sub now.

    Yep, its me who normally watches something on the iPad whilst X Factor / Soaps are on!
