sky freezing?

Ive had a pace box with sky (not sky+) for about 3 years now.
Its always been prone to a bit of "freezing", but just lately it happens nearly every day, mostly when channel flicking.
Any ideas?

A bit late now but you should have got the box and the installation checked while you were under warranty, there should be no problems at all if every component of the system is working correctly. Too many people seem to think the occasional yet regular hiccup with SKY is normal, it isn't then when a problem increases they are out of warranty

If you are getting problems when you are surfing the channels then if could be related to the high/low band and polarity switching and that could be the digibox, the cable or the LNB itself. If the picture is freezing under normal viewing conditions then once again it could be a problem with the digibox or the quality of the signal although that would produce breakup rather than freezing.

Can you get hold of a working digibox from a friends system just to narrow down the problem to your digibox or your dish system?
